Sound Baths
What is a Sound Bath?
A sound bath is a deeply relaxing experience where you are gently immersed in waves of vibrational sound that surround and soothe your body and mind. Rather than music in the traditional sense, these therapeutic sounds come from crystal singing bowls, Himalayan bowls, gongs, tuning forks, and other healing instruments, each chosen for their unique frequencies and resonance.
As you rest comfortably – often lying down with eyes closed – the sound vibrations ripple through the air and subtly through your body, helping to calm your nervous system, slow your brainwaves, and encourage a state of deep meditation. Many people describe it as a ‘reset’ for the mind and body, supporting emotional release, physical restoration, and a profound sense of inner peace.
These frequencies can help shift the brain into alpha and theta states – those same states we enter during deep meditation or just before sleep – where healing, creativity, and self-awareness naturally unfold. A sound bath offers a powerful opportunity to disconnect from the outside world and reconnect with what’s going on inside, all without having to ‘do’ anything.
Let yourself be nurtured by sound – recharge your energy, calm your mind, and simply be.
I facilitate sound bath sessions in the Daventry area.
I offer group sound baths – a space to pause, breathe, and be gently held in sound.
I also offer sessions for adults with learning disabilities, complex needs, or chronic health conditions.
Private sound baths are also available – for individuals, couples, families, parents and children, or small groups. These can be tailored for birthdays, special occasions, or simply as a nurturing experience to share with others.
